La Societe D'histoire et du Musee du Comte de Compton

The Compton County Historical Society and Museum Society is housed in an old Congregationalist Church that was built in 1841. In 1959 the church was bought by the museum. It is located on the square of Eaton Corner Quebec, at the intersection of route 253 and 210, just north of Sawyerville. The phone number is 819-875-5256

There are many family records kept on file here along with newspaper clippings and such relating to Mackays. There is also a book on the history of Compton County for viewing and extensive cemetary records.
